Notes: Hand Signed and Dated on Foot. Sculpture for Pez's solo show "SWEET LIFE" in Hoxton Arches - London 2018, Based on an old drawing from 2013 "Balloon Boy". Sweet Life: a first retrospective that encompasses the four ages of life through the artists favorite series. It all starts with the Dream Series which evokes childhood in a satiric way, at the crossroads of black humor and offbeat daydreams. The Destroy Series, with its references to pop culture and video games heroes, is intended as a snapshot of adolescence. The “Green pieces” then take you into adulthood, anticipating a disenchanted world and questioning our ecological legacy. Finally, the Pixel Series concludes this exhibition. The material world disaggregates into a cloud of pixels and becomes abstract, symbolizing the journey to death.
