"Keith Haring's 'Untitled (Plate 4), 1987' represents a charming masterpiece hailing from one of the artist's most triumphant creative periods. Executed using lithography, a printing technique employing a flat sheet of stone or metal treated to resist ink, this artwork showcases a primary color palette of red, yellow, blue, and black.

Within this composition, Haring skillfully portrays two of his iconic humanoid figures engaged in a whimsical performance set against a vibrant red backdrop. On the right side, a yellow figure extends from the lower edge, arching over to the upper left corner with arms raised above its head. Dominating the left side is a slightly larger figure, positioned upside down, with limbs extending beyond the top and bottom edges of the work. A bold black 'X' adorns the abdomen of this figure, while black lines of similar design dance around both characters. The color scheme evokes the innocence of a child's drawing, further enhanced by the hand-painted quality achieved through lithography.

This remarkable piece is extensively documented and referenced in the following catalogue raisonnés and texts, copies of which will be included as additional documentation with the sale of the artwork:
