About: Edward F. Paschke studied painting at the Art Institute of Chicago, earning his BFA in 1961 and MFA in 1970. His first solo exhibition took place at Galerie Darthea Speyer in Paris. Paschke taught at Barat College and Columbia College in Chicago before joining Northwestern University's art faculty in 1979. A key figure among the Chicago Imagists like Jim Nutt, Roger Brown, and Gladys Nilsson, Paschke is known for his bold, media-inspired paintings.
